I've had bronchitis now for 12 days, but only got diagnosed 4 days ago and started on a course of antibiotics. The cause I believe was an unfortunate exposure to a room full of smokers for a number of hours. My question is: how long does bronchitis stay contagious or how can you tell if it is or not? My boyfriend is concerned, as he has a 2-year old son that he doesn't want to transfer it to. Please help!
