Its Time to Shape Up (i Think I Might Have Gone Crazy) Posted: 03-23-06 23:17pm
Hey... I'm 13, 5'2", and 130lb. I look
fine, I guess, I mean there are people in
my class (8th grade) who weigh less than
me and look fatter, but I am personally
horrified at my huge stomach roll and
flabby thighs (which have stretch marks).
I know this might seem a little crazy
because I mean - whats a little belly and
thigh flab? But swimsuit season is coming
up and i've convinced myself I need to be
healthier. But, how do I go about this?
All I do after school is either pal around
with my friends at the movies or at each
others houses or mess about right here.
On the computer. I never exercise apart
from gym at school, and I never have any
energy for that. 2 minutes huffing and
puffing around the gym with the others is
torture.
Ugh!
Can any of you lot please please please
help me out with this? I want to get down
to at least 120 and I want to be healthier
and have more energy. Better eating
habits. Any tips?

I'm not sure what the weight conversions
are as I'm in Australia and we go by
kilos.
My advise would be drink plenty of water.
Eat a good wholesome breakfast and have
two more healthy meals per day. Do a
little exercise perhaps walking to scool.
If you exercise just 3 times a week for
about half an hour and you drink water and
you eat well then you will lose weight.

It sounds to me like you just need to get
a little more active.
Go biking, walking, running, swimming,
anything!
What are your eating habits like? You
really are in a healthy range; however I
would never say it's a problem for someone
to tweak their eating habits to something
a little healthier in general
As long as you understand that you
are in a healthy range in terms of
BMI and weight loss shouldn't be your main
goal in this so much developing healthy
eating and exercising habits for your
future.
