Wound on the Tip of My Penis Continues to Scab and Peel... Posted: 03-23-06 13:07pm
Ok recently I went on Clarus (an alternate
production of Accutane) perscribed by my
doctor. If you don't know, Accutane really
dries out your system heavily and causes
skin sheding among other side effects.
Anyhow, over the last week or so, I had a
reaction on my face that caused a rash,
just before then, my penis had small
amounts of blood in it just as I urinated.
There was no blood in the urine, it was
just that the tip of my penis, in my
urethra is in my guess, slightly cut from
whatever reason, and bled a little causing
minor scabbing around the tip of the
penis.
It has developped that now there is
scabbing going on in order to heal, but
the problem is, it's almost sealing the
hole of my penis, making it difficult to
urinate as I am constantly trying to
re-open the hole. I think the issue is,
that everytime I peel the scab, a bigger
one comes in each time. I'm not sure if
there is medication I can use in order to
fix this (even a simple cut medication),
but it's getting annoying, and I would
like to identify it before it may
potentially become a problem (sealed
completely).
I was worried that perhaps it could be
sexually related, but I haven't had sex in
6 weeks, in which I wore protection each
time with that woman. I've only ever had
unprotected sex twice with the same girl,
but that was 11 months ago and she had
only had sex with one other guy prior to
me (i know I was an fool for doing it in
the first place)...
I don't believe it to be STD related, I
just think the tip of my penis may have a
small cut or tear in it, and with the
small amounts of blood, it's scabbing, and
it almost sealed shut.
I'm giving a urinanalysis tomorrow, and
I've had bloodwork done for the accutane
process prior to a couple of days ago, so
I'd imagine if there was any kind of
serious problems, it would have been
picked up in the blood sample.
Is there some kind of medication I can put
on it to stop the scabbing?

If the wound on the tip of your penis
doesn’t heal in two weeks, you can
proceed to your doctor's office and/or
(probably) to an urologist or
dermatovenerologist for further
examinations.
