Hi everyone. I am pregnant with my first baby and due at the end of october, but am still waiting for my first scan (thursday next week) to confirm this. I am about 8 weeks at the moment and feeling huge!! I am eating like a horse, but I never feel full up! Does anyone else feel like this?
I'm sure no-one else can guess that i'm pg yet, but I certainly can and so can my husband. I have gained weight around my middle, bottom and thighs. Not a lot, but more that i'd like. I can't do up my jeans properly without feeling really uncomfortable. I just feel fat! Can't wait 'til I have a 'proper' baby tummy to show off, then at least i'll look pregnant rather then just a health forum! This early weight gain...Could it mean twins?
There are twins in my mother's family - her cousins were non-identical twins and my father's mother was a twin. I am 32 years old. Any other tell-tale signs I should be looking for...?!!!! Eeeeek! Maybe i'm just over-eating and feeling slightly paranoid about the prospect of a multiple pregnancy....??
Any advice would be very welcome.
This website really helps to feel like i've joined 'the club', especially, because I haven't told friends yet...
Xx

Well I ahve 1 child who is 2 and I have one on the way. I also eat like a pig. Except not scared to get fat because before I even got pregnant with my first baby I weighed 157 pounds. The first 1 1/2 months I went up to 162 ponds. Then the next month I went up to 164 pounds. I thought I was gettin too big too fast. But at the end of the pregnany I ended up only weighing 162 pounds. I lost gained lost gained lost gained. 2 days after giving birth I weighed 140 pounds. I was happy. So no you are not gettin too chubby, that baby belly will come sooner than u thought! Have a good pregnany.

I'm due in the middle of oct.. The 16th.. I had an u/s on the 7th of this month.. I too eat alot, but after talking to the Dr. It really doesn't bother me.. I also eat to keep for throwing up.. & it really does help.. & lets just say your not in the mood to eat coz your feeling the "morning sickness" have something sour.. That's really helped me. Hope you have an easy pregnancy :)

Late Oct As Well
I am due late oct as well. And don't worry, I know how you are feeling.

I can't fit into most of my pants either because they are way too uncomfortable. And I noticed the belly getting bigger too, but I don't think other people can. It is just because you know your self, and know it is different.

Can't really say if they are twins or not. Because every woman gains weight different. Some gain it right at the beginning, and some hear the end.

And I won't worry about the over eating. I know I am eating a lot more then I usually do, because it helps me from getting sick. But as long as you are eating (mostly) healthy foods, you will be fine.

If you are really worried about the over eating.. Go for a walks. That is what I am trying to do a little more.

Good luck !!
