Eye discomfort
When I am outside in the air and sun, my eyes start to feel weak and uncomfortable. They feel tense as if they want to shut. The tenseness continues even too the next day!

Pain in my eyes and head
So, for the past couple days I have been feeling dizzy or exhausted, and just today my eyes started to hurt if I moved them too far either way... or even just looking straight sometimes. When I read, I can't concentrate properly and I am trying to study for finals. Any suggestions?

Pain in head
This pain just started yesterday. I mostly get a headache everytime I move my eyes up, down, left, right. My eyes also hurt when I turn my head because I still have to move them. What I've been doing is closing my eyes when I turn my head which has seemed to work. I noticed someone assuming it was a side effect of a recent cold. I also had a fever a few days ago.

mine hurt too.
it is possible it is caused by mono-nucleosis. the kissing disease. you can get it from drinking water fountains. it makes you feel weak. and your eyes feel and look very dry and painful. it is sayed that you never get rid of it and it can come back on you when your system is down. just another possibility.

Ouch
My eyes have been hurting for about 3 days now. At first I thought it was going to go away shortly. But, I also have a headache type pain behind my eyes near my temples I guess.

Eyes/Head
Ive got these symptoms right now, I'm a 17 year old female.
Ive just started to read in bed with my lamp at night, so reading these posts has made me think it could be eye strain, but I have just been to the options to get a new glasses prescription (I wear my contacts everyday) and my new glasses prescription is quite a bit higher than my old glasses so I think that might be it as well. Also my new glasses which I wear on mornings and at night when I don't have my contacts in are also slightly stronger than my contact lenses.

Does it sound like my eyes are just trying to get used to all the changes?

when i move my eyes around (mostly to the left.) they cause a severe sore. If i laugh, cough, or even get up to fast my eyes and head get really sore. i've been experiencing this for about 96 hours. if any1 has an answer to what i might have or anything that could lessen the pain please reply.

You are dehydrated!
I just had the same thing a few hrs. ago and have had it many times before with varied severity levels, I have found that this is my #1 sign that I am dehydrated...I just drank about 3 glasses of water and it went away. My advice to you is to drink a lot of water until it subsides. Good luck.

I'm only 13 years old. I have been having the same thing, whenever i move my eyes to far to the left, right, up or down i get a really bad headache and my eyes hurt. I also have a fever and in the past week i have had a cold and a sore throat. I do spend quite a lot of time in front of the computer and tv.. is this the cause?

Sinus Pressure
It is sinus pressure. This happens when you get sick. This happened to me too and my doctor knew at once it was sinus pressure. After a couple of days on medication, the pain was gone.

I've heard that aching eyes is one of the first signs of de-hydration. I have these symptoms from time to time after a long day at work or just after I've had a cold or flu. I find that re-hydrating myself works wonders.
