well, I have well and truly "done" my achilles. I strained both tendons over a month ago. A simple weekend of walking was the cause. I have not been able to really rest for the last month. As a result, yep, they are still kind of strained!! :shock:
it was a big shock in the first place. I have been a big walker in the past, ...So i'm thinking "why, or
how does it happen?".
i guess, secondly, i'm thinking
"is it normal to take so long to heal?"
i am wanting to do some more big walks in just 3 weeks! They are already much better, but i'm desperately wondering
"how the heck can I make sure I don't strain the achilles again?"
is there anything you can do to avoid straining them, if you're a walker?
by the way, I have been wearing orthaheels since july. I thought (and I hope!) they are helping!
