I find it inappropriate too, but the emotionl pro-lifers will always think that the best way to make people do what they want then to do is to barge in on their business.

Well im pro-life..And I dont post in the abortion forum...I dont tell people to get a abortion or not to...Its their decision...I just consider myself pro-life because my views and beliefs on the procedure and life...I post in abortion debate..Because this is the place...Where pro-life/pro-choice come to debate the things they agree and disagree on...Women who come to this board for support on abortion...Need not to come to the abortion debate ..But to the abortion forum ...

I think you misunderstand jillian, i'm talking about women who post in the pregnancy forums. Admittedly it's probably not the right place for them to post, but they are looking for support, not guilt trips from people who are pro-life.

If they were to post here they could expect debate on the rights or wrongs of abortion, but I don't think it's fair when they are merely seeking support in making their decision.

Yup ..Took your post wrong I thought you were talking about the abortion forum...Because sometimes pro-life people post there also..And I dont see why you would do that..When someone is going through a hard enough time ...Trying to figure which way to go in life...Meaning abortion/or have the baby...I just stick to talking about abortion in this forum and in the pro-life forum..But yes I understand what you mean..But then again there are people that post in the pregnancy/teen pregnancy forum that sometimes ..Ask for opinions...And thats leads to pro-choice and pro-life both replying...Causing arguments and so forth!

if someone asks for abortion experiences then I think they should expect to receive them, but if they ust ask for general support in making a decision, well that's different.

Jillian, I would say that you're not really what i'd call pro-life. You're more personally pro-life, but pro-choice for other people. You don't like abortion but accept that sometimes it has to happen. I may be way off the mark here though.

No ..Your exactly right because I dont make anyones decision for them...I dont like people telling me how and what to do in my life..So I return the favor and dont tell others what to do with theirs..

Just read this thread and found it interesting. If a pl posts on the pregnancy thread and calls a fetus a baby and makes the pregnant woman/girl think that she might actually be carrying a human life inside her....What is actually wrong with that? If a pl uses the word "kills" is she technically wrong? I mean whether you believe that the pregnant woman is carrying a human life or a bunch of living cells...The bottom line is...In an abortion "something" dies....Therefore is killed. What I am saying is....Pc is supposedly all about a womans choice....So if a pl makes a woman look at her pregnancy differently, or possibly even goes so far as to make that woman change her mind and not have an abortion....What is wrong with that? I mean isn't changing ones mind as much apart of choice as sticking with your first choice? If pc is really about "choice" then a difference of opinion shouldn't scare you. You after all have the law on your side....All we have are words. We can't stop a woman from having an abortion....But we can ask her to think about what she is doing before she does it. I mean no one would say a word if a woman were going to have a hysterectomy, cancer surgery, or any other kind of surgical procedure and someone asked them if this is really what they wanted to do....So why is abortion any different? And what is wrong with using emotional words like "baby" and "human life?" I mean after all....Abortion usually has some emotional side effects.....And if the woman doesn't want to hear them....She can say "please leave me alone." that is also her choice......But if she chooses to listen.....Why do you care? This is I guess what I never understood about so many pc. There is a certain group that are all for "choice" as long as the "choice" is what they think it should be.

i'm sure most wmen are aware that it's a human fetus they are carrying inside of their uterus. It's basic biology, the fact is that it's not a "baby" until birth - baby is a developmental stage, just as zygote, embryo and fetus are. It doesn't negate from the fact that they're from the human species - frankly someone would have to be quite stupid to think that they're carrying a howler monkeys fetus

nothing is wrong with that, I believe women should be making informed choices about their pregnancy but when a person clearly states they have made the decision or that they are suffering following abortion I don't think it's appropriate to mention that she has "killed her baby"


it is about choice. I'm pleased the law recognises this also. I am not "pro-abortion" and I 100% believe that it's no-ones decision apart from the woman whether or not she continues her pregnancy or aborts.

i don't care - it's the womans choice, not mine. If she isn't fully informed and then decides against an abortion then i'm pleased she made her choice

the choice is for the woman who has an unplanned pregnancy, it's not my choice and I would never want to force my opinions on anyone.

we don't mind people being pro-life... We mind when they try to make the government and the laws pro-life because then that removes the choice.

moo....I don't believe that you are the type of pc I was speaking about. There are however pc out there that aren't as reasonable as you are. And for the record....Rubbing someones nose in something after it is already said and done is never right. None of us makes it through this life without doing something that was painful....And continually reminding us of what we did is neither helpful or healing.

in other words....It is okay if we believe that human life begins at conception and therefore should be protected and respected........As long as we don't do anything about it....Correct?

Does it really remove the choice.....Or simply give the choice to all instead of the few?
