Hello

yes I believe this may be true... It is bad to do your arms and legs on consecutive days because they need time to repair themselves. However working your abs etc is not as damaging when u do it every day because they are your core muscles and you use them every day anyway. I found that once I started working out on my abs my general strength increased ten fold!!

I am no personal trainer or fitness professional though, so maybe someone who knows a bit more might be of more assistance??

Hope I have helped :)

Yes, it is a small twitch muscle group, like your calves. They can be trained multiple times a week. I would train them every other day. They're still a muscle group that needs rest. Remember, just because you're not doing crunches, doesn't mean you're not working your abdominal region. Squats, dead lifts, running ... All work your core. Keep your lower back in mind too.
