Q: Ulcerative Colitis Cure????

I am posting here to let ulcerative colitis sufferers know that there is a center that claims to have a cure for uc. The probiotic research therapy center in australia posts on their website that they have a treatment which cures ulcerative colitis over 50% of the time it is tried. It is a bacteria transplant from a healthy colon. Here are the links

and their parent clinic is at this link

their only published study

please be warned that it is extremely difficult to get a response from them. I tried for nearly 2 weeks, sending at least 6 emails from 4 email addresses (i thought their spam blocker must be stopping me), 2 faxes, and several phone calls to try get more information regarding this procedure. The ptrc phone and fax numbers are disconnected, you have to use the cdd #’s and it was still difficult to get someone with ptrc to answer the phone. All I received from them after all that effort was a 3 sentence email saying they require $100 to provide me with more information (and this took 16 days from the day of my first email). This seemed like fraudulent behavior to me and I wrote such an angry email after this that they are now refusing me treatment (when I phoned the center the receptionist also told me that they are no longer offering international consultations, however the email I finally got from them says that they do). I kind of hope they understand how frustrating it was to get a hold of them and how little information they provide at the ptrc website- the cdd website has a more adequate amount of information that I hadn’t seen.

Anyway I really hope that this works and I just wanted to let people know about it- this is a very painful and mentally trying disease and if this therapy works then everyone with uc should have it. It shouldn’t be expensive and could be done anywhere so long as their info (limited as it is) is legitimate and the medical community accepts it. Considering how many people this could help other clinicians really need to do a real study. Please post if you have tried it and let us know if it worked.
