Hi my daughter went to the doctor friday and I am very scared something is wrong her doc said she has swollen lymp noids that he is schedueling her right away for the specalist to look at he said if it is still there when she sees him that he will probably want to do a biopsy. She is only 14 and she is my baby, I am hoping to hear that this problem can be fixed easily. She said it gives her no pain or does not interfere with her eating or swallowing she said it just bugs her I would appreciate any response dddue to the fact that is going to be a long week end for me while I await monday thank you very much Embarassed

sherylann60,
my daughter is also 14 yoa and has swollen lympnoids in her throat. I am also very scared. She is my first born. I am going to take her on fri. For a cat scan. They may want to biopsy them. She needs to have her tonsils and adnoids taken out so they may do the biopsy at the same time. I will let you know what it is when I find out, hopefully you will do the same.

Lymph Nodes
I understand how you feel. About a year ago my baby, who was 3 was sleeping on me and while I was rubbing his head I felt lumps all over his neck and behind his ears. I was a nervouse reck I could not sleep you know how every thing goes through your head. We went to the Dr. And had a lot of tests done. I had worried for nothing though. They said that his lumps are from cat scratch disease and it will cause his lymph nodes to be swollen for up to four years. I am not totally sure that I 100% believe that he has that but as long as it is nothing bad we will be o.K.
I hope that gives you some piece of mind that finding lumps is not always bad. I hope she is fine.
