Problems Caused By Bulimia Posted: 03-21-06 10:12am
Hello,
i suffer from bulimia for 2 years. The
last year I have problems with water
retention. Water is mostly in my legs,
although when I wake up in the morning my
legs are reletevly ok ( it shifts to my
upper body). My legs are the worst when
i've walked for some time. I've been
hospitalised one time for huge amount of
water in my body. I didn't urinate for 4
or 5 days and in the hospital they didn't
find out why. In the next few days I
didn't eat or drink anything and lost the
water.
In the summer my condition worsens. I've
read about consequencies caused by
bulimia, and I know that people have
problems with liver, heart and kidnyies.
So I believe my problem with water
retention is tied with problem with one or
more organs.
I have every intention to see a doctor
that specializes in this soon, but if
there is someone with similar problem who
has managed to keep it under control and
better his condition while still suffering
from bulimia I would be grateful for
advice.
Sorry for the long post but I wanted to
give you all the relevant information so
if there is someone who has been through
the similar experience please help.

Why don't you write something about this
problem,i'm sure there's someone with
similar expirience cause many of you sufer
from bulimia for several years or
longer,you must have samo simptoms which
appear in my case...Or i'm wrong? :( :(

Hi there. I suffer from bulimia too.
I've been dealing with it for thirteen
years now. I've had similar problems with
water retention, not to where anyone but
me can notice though, usually. In fact,
for the last two years i've had quite a
few bladder infections/urinary tract
infections and two kidney infections.
I've only gone to the hospital for a
couple, when I couldn't take the pain
anymore. Do you ever have them? I'm sure
that my bulimia is at the root of this
problem with me. But I don't know when
i'll be able to afford medical treatment
or counseling for my ed., so it goes...I'm
trying to deal with it day by day.
