I dont want to blab on to you all but you gurls all seem to give really good advice to one another.

About 2 months ago I had sex with a friend we have plenty of times before but this is the only time I can think of that I might be.. We didnt use a condom and I know was very stupid but it happend.. Few weeks passed and now I dont even talk to this guy, he ignores me and makes smart ass comments to my mates!!! Which they oviously tell me back.. Well today I found out im pregnant I have not told anyone bar you people reading this.. Im not very sure on what I want to do but I just can't belive it..Im 16 turning 17 studying grade 12 in australia.

Makes things alot harder because I dont even talk to this guy and my brother and his girlfriend had a child at young age and mum was real supportive but to her im just a virgin and telling her im preg will be even harder, I just so confused right now..If you could give me some advice cause at the mo you only people I can talk to.. Thanks heaps
lucy

You need to calm down and tell your mum - the fact that she was supportive of your brother shows credit to her parenting skills so I doubt she would be too harsh on you. Shocked, yes - disappointed, probably but angry only initially. She will come to terms with it and you need to tell her.

My mum thought of me as a virgin until I told her I was pregnant and then she was angry at me for a few days and got really excited after that. She was also one of my biggest supports after my son passed away. Mothers are there to help and give advice - she wouldn't like to think that you had something major going on in your life which you didn't tell her about.

Also you need to talk to your mate, don't let it drag on or it will get even harder... Do you think he will be supportive? Have you decided what you are going to do, abortion, adoption, keeping it? Hope this helps.

If I am I will keep it, well no he wont be, what happend was he told me he liked me and I liked him for a while and what happend was I grew feelings for him and he lied to me to just sleep with me, I fell for it.. He is that type.. Has sex with girls and ditches them so im kinda stuck by myself but I dont care im not giving up on my own child, im so scared but excited...

I just dont want him to be interested half way down the track by stuffin me around

Men are idiots, although your not reall supposed to sleep with your pals either !!

As for being pregnant, alot of girls here are doing its just a matter of do you want it or not and are you capable of putting yourself second to a child? Even if the guy isnt supportive sometimes your better being single(im going to get hit for saying this) I married and somedays id rather be single. Men just add alot of grief although its nice to have them when they are around they will always be in you face about something.

As for school dont know if u have it there but they have correspodance here (studying at home) so look around its still possible to go to school with a kid.
My buddy also told me you guys get a lump sum of cash when u have a kid their something like 3000-4000$/kid when they are born so you should be fine just keep your head up ill see if I can find anything else out for ya!

If you are as close as you say I would not worry about it.Just explain to her it was something you didn't want to tell her b/c you didn't want her to look down on you and i'm sure she will understand.I hope everything goes well for you and good luck with the little one! Keep us updated!
