Hida

Hi all,

i had a hida scan today...Didn't get any pain from contractions with the ckk, but did get an immense amt of nausea...Ckk injected over 5 minutes...Nausea lasted a couple of minutes.

I've had pain in my ruq for a few months now. Ultrasound and ct scan came back clear, although it does appear that I have a small polyp close to the neck of my gb. Have also tested positive for h-pylori, and have gone through the 'triple-whammy' antibiotic treatment.

I am not at all optimistic that the hida will show anything wrong...I know that sounds weird, but the pain is way too intense to be all my imagination. I get severe pain under my ribs on the right...This radiates through to my back...And occasionally goes up to my shoulder. Have been to er twice because the pain is unbearable...First time the lpn virtually accused me of making it all up because the bloods and scans all looked normal. 'normal' blood pressure is 98/64...Second time in er it was 166/90...Guess there was something wrong that time, huh?

Question is...Given that I really am experiencing so much pain...Will a surgeon consider removal of my gb? Guess that I don't really need it (or my appendix or tonsils), so i'd rather have it removed now while i'm still 'young enough' to recover fairly quickly (ok...So i'm 44, but feel 16!)
