Q: Any Medications For Anxiety With Little Side Effects?

I have read so many articles that say all the medications for anxiety and panic attacks cause so many side effects.

Is anyone taking anxiety/panic medications that give them little or no side effects?

Their are several meds for anxiety and panic attacts, you might also go to the herb or natural place such as gnc some people with regular meds do not even feel the side effects while others do and after a while you do not feel the sides once you have been on them for a while , even some people will feel side effects with the naturopathic/herbal meds as we are all different. Talk to your dr and see what he says and then talk to a herbal specialist and compare the two.
Good luck

I have taken both .5 mg of xanax with the only side effect being that I would sleep later into the morning than normal and sometimes have a foggy memory when waking up for a few minutes.
I have also taken 1 mg of ativan with no side effects.
I'm sure it's different for everyone, though, with the chemical balances and the way your body reacts to things.

Thanks for the responces. I am seeing a homeopathic doctor, but only for the last 2 weeks. She has given me 3 bottles of drops to take 3 times a day, vitamin b complex, and rescue remedy. Up until now, I am not finding any difference in my anxiey and panic attacks.

Backhomew22, how long have you been on ativan? And do you take it every day? I have been told by my new doctor that it is not to be taken long term.

I have been taking it for 2 years now, and am finding that it is not working as well as it did when I first started it..

I don't know why I am so worried about trying new medication. It scares me to death. I am so afraid of the symptoms that I may have..I can't understand why this is bothering me so much. :(

I was seeing a psychologist for awhile, but it was quite expensive, so I stopped..I didn't really find it helped me very much.

I think my problem is that I worry too much about everything, and it's something that I just can't seem to stop.

I worry about my health and I fear death, and worry about my parents death, and all kinds of things that I have no control over.

me to. If your religious you could pray about it. Have you had any test done on you. Like heart test or anything to make sure your healthy. That could give you some peace of mind just to know nothings physically wrong with you

I have a medical booked for mid april. I have a lump on my arm that I have have for a few years now, and am afraid to mention it to my doctor because i'm afraid he may say that it is cancer, and I can't deal with that.

If u dont ask and you dont find out your gonna worry and worry about it forever. I had a white bump on my scortom. I was like oh dam what is that. I was scared it was something terrible. Found out it was just a cyst. Nothing to worry about. U sure that bump just aint a mole or somein? I would tell my doctor about it. U have had it for a few years now with no other symptoms. Its probably nothing. Tell the doctor.
