I was wondering if it is normal for a baby to have a short umbilical cord?

My Docter Says So

He said its not uncommon but my daughter had one and it is dangerous I lost her because of a short ubilical cord so once anything dosen't seem right get your baby checked im sorry to scare you but its something I don't want to see someone else go through
