Irregular Period, Light Pink and Brown Spotting...Are these Posted: 03-19-06 09:48am
I have been spotting a very very light
pink color for several days now. I also
feeling like a throbbing coming from
inside my cervix. I got a period on the
2nd of March but only for a day, the other
three days I spotted alot of brown color.
Can this be a sign of early pregnancy.

No, spotting is not a sign of early
pregnancy. Lack of menstruation is sign of
early pregnancy (although it is not a 100%
certain indication of conception). Vaginal
bleeding that is not due to menstruation
is called "spotting". Sometimes it is very
difficult to distinguish spotting from
menstruation. Spotting can be a sign of
many functional or organic disorders of
the reproductive system. Spotting can also
indicate miscarriage, if pregnancy
occurred. I recommend you take a pregnancy
test and visit a gynecologist, no matter
the result, to identify the origin of the
blood.
