I really think that when it comes to names you have to think of the child and how it's going to affect their life. And to name them pennylane or abbyroad, not to be rude or anything but .D.O.N.'t! Abby by itself it cute, i've always like that but just not together the way you suggested.

I had a friend who was named michelle from the song, "michelle, my belle". She suffered no ill effects. However the 'road' part in abbyroad is a little iffy.

.Penny would be fine for as a nn for penelope. Abby is a fine nn for .Abigail. Ditch the lane and the road.
