Q: Scared- Blood In the Semen

My boyfriend has found blood in his semen twice (once a month ago and once just recently). He has never had this before. We are in a monomogous relationship and stds are completely ruled out. As far as i'm concerned I went to the obgyn 3 months ago and had no vaginal infections either.
I've read online that blood in the semen can sometimes happen for no reason or of course there are really serious causes. Has anyone else ever experienced this before?

I don't think it has anything to do with your body. It sounds like something isn't quite functioning right in his.

Anything, he should definitely get that checked out, asap.

He might have epidydimitis (i'm not sure if i've spelt that correctly), an inflammation of the epidydimus, which is the tube that runs from the top of the testicle into the vas deferens.

Yeah he doesn't want a rectal exam and hates his doctor. I feel powerless over this. He should of went the first time he had it. But i'll check out that epidydimus and have him look it up too. Thanks

Same thing happened to me a month ago. It happened for 2 weeks then went away. I was very worried about it but usually its nothing. It most likly will clear itself out.

:wink: hey buddy we all hate doctors, just think of we woman have to go thru.. But on a serious note any time that you see blood coming either urine , or other fluid, see a uroligist asap.. Don't wait.. Is the fear woth more than your little friend ( i'm not saying it's little) just phrasing.. Go with your girl for moral support..

Hey wanda yeah i'm a girl and I know what your saying. The guys have to deal with nothing. Going to the gyno is the worst experience ever!! Especially when they probe you and you have to sit there with your legs open and god...I hate it :(
and of course I just do it for my man so he doesn't have to wear condoms and I can be on birth control.
Yet he can't go to the doctor to figure out this blood in his semen!
