Ingrown Toenail
Posted: 03-18-06 16:21pm

Hi

i have an ingrown toenail, for about 2 years, doc knows about it, its been infected, anti-biotix sorts it out, the nail is out the skin now, just looks a bit infected, so getting more anti-biotix.

I dont want the surgery, the nail is out the skin, doesnt really hurt, but looks a little ugly, now im wondering if I start soaking it and using things, I can just cure this myself? Any way of doing it?

Thanks

Sorry to hear about your ingrown toe-nail, I realize that they can be a pain sometimes, I have had a couple of them in my lifetime, one, my ole boss removed in his office, very painful but I bit the bullit, the next time I had one removedd in a dr's office, she just numbed up the toe and removed it and put a wrap on it gave me some antibiotics and a few pain meds and I was good to go, just kind of felt like after they removed a tooth except I did not feel like I was drooling but that was a long time ago, now they probably make a big deal out of it. My suggestion is to get it removed or cut back or else it could happen again. As far as soaking your feet, I do with warm water and epsom salts and I have one of those foot baths which help with the circulation.
Good luck!
