Q: Info On Pregnancy Tests

Ok so I have decided that there needs to be information readily available for people searching for info on pregnancy tests. I have been searching all over for info on clear choice and havent found any! Its one of those tests that you pee in a cup (1/4c) and you mix some blue stuff into it and its supposed to tell you if you pregnant, it also tells you when the test is complete. Now here's my problem, I took the test but didnt look at the cup carefully and assumed that when it said "fill to the line" it meant that there was a line on top and I was supposed to fill the entire cup! So thats what I did, and the test came up negative. But I have heard that with the stick hpt's that too much or too little urine will give you an incorrect result, so im wondering if this is true of clear choice as well? I have missed 2 periods so im thinking it may have. I bought a new test tonight and im going to try again, unfortunately I have to wait several hours though. :? So anyways, as too the information I read while searching for other hpt's.....
-false positives are more common than false negatives
-if a test says positive and then you get your period, you probably had a miscarriage very ealry on.
-you need to wait about 14 days after ovulation before taking a hpt, but you should wait about a week after you should have gotten you period for a more accurate result
-it is possible for hpt's to give you a negative even though you are pregnant-you could have slow rising hcg levels, or your pregnancy is fated to miscarry, or your not taking the test correctly
-you can also bleed while your pregnant, this is common its refered to as spotting
-some brands are better than others, first response is supposed to be the best
- blood tests are more accurate but there are two different types of blood tests, so ask your doctor which he is doing(one type is just like getting a home preg test done except they use your blood)
-certain medications interfer with hpt results!!!!!!!!!!
Well thats it for now. I hope that other people add to this though and that if this helps you, please let me know! Thanks
