Q: 33 Weeks And Baby's Breech....help!!!!!

I'm 33 weeks and 2 days and 2 days ago I got an ultrasound and she is breech! I am getting them weekly (watching my b/p's...They are up and down) and she was head down on the 1st of march and now she's breech and i'm terrified! This is #2 for me so i'm hoping it's stretched enough in there for her to move. The ultrasound tech said that she still has plenty of room to move. (estimating her weight at about 4 lbs 9 oz) but i'm paranoid. Anyone have a baby breech this late and baby turn on their own???? Let me know! I don't want a c-section!!!!!

Not me! But my sister's daughter was breach. She turned about 1 week before her due date. She had weekly ultrasounds as well. They even tried turning her back into place but it didn’t work so they ended up scheduling her for a csection which went pretty well. She now has a 2 year old girl. Yes, I know you are afraid but believe me c sections are safer now than years ago. Good luck and hopefully your baby will turn.

2 of my 3 term pregnancy's turned the very last day. I had one who remained head up from mid 30's weeks, dr's manually turned her and she went back breech. The last day before the induction she turned around. Boy, was it uncomfortable--but she turned none the less. My other was head down, but seemed to be stuck on my hip bones, so the day before induction he turned also, (with much uncomfortableness also) but he only made it 1/2 way--he was now head up and had to be a c-section.

I know things are different than they used to be with c-sections ( I worked l & d for 3 yrs...But gosh it's different when it's your own!) however I saw what they do and i'm just not a fan of it!!!! Plus i've never even had stitches before much less cute open. I'm getting a tubal and nervase enough about that! I'm hoping she will turn. She was side ways for a long while though. Then head down now breech. Crazy kids! They start worring us early one! Thanks for the news......Hope mine turns on her own!

They can turn, it is amazing!
You worked l&b too, soo did i, I enjoyed it, well, most of it! The part I liked the best was watching some of the .Daddy's because you understand what the mothers are going thru but their are times that you think the dads are the one's that are having them, some are really funny and sssome of them are given pure heck for example, some of the mothers are saying, do you see what you did to me or no more sex for you. I work in er now and their are times we might get some of their waiting too late or overflow.

Taylors mom, I hope your little one turns for you. I wasn't scheduled to have a c-section but ended up having one monday. I'm like you i've never been cut open or had stitches, let alone an operation! I've never even been hospitalized. But sometimes it's safer to go that way as my dr explained to me, because of infection (my situation was diff. Tho....Water broke early on and she was too big to go through the pelvis) and if you have a really good caring dr it helps a lot. Not that we want to have a c-section, but children will do what they want lol. But I wish you luck and keep my fingers crossed for you that the baby turns!

Updates!!!!!
I hadn't put anything in here because i've been busy with work and all....But the baby did turn!!! Thank god! Now i'm 36wks/4 days and she is still that way. I am still getting an u/s every week to check afi and everyother week for weight. At 35 weeks though I was a little dissapointed. I had been sick and couldn't eat after about 12pm. Well I was worried it would keep her from gaining. (she has normaly been gaining almost a lbs in 2 weeks) however this time around she had only gained 9 oz and was only weighing in at 5 lbs2 oz. Dr said that was fine, but I was hoping she was bigger and felt like I was starving her even though I was doing the best I could. Anyways, now this last week for the afi my fluids dropped from 14 to 9. Dr said it was ok but to drink a lot more water (i feel water logged already!) and try and take it easy. We will see thur. If it gets better. Then he checked me only to find out I was just finger tip. I thought I would have made more progress. I will be induced on the 20th so i'm hoping to be a little further along in that dept! So that is what has been going on. Today is going to be my last day of work unil after the baby comes. (15 more min. Of work exactly!)
good luck to all of you!

I wouldn't really rely on an ultrasound to determine the weight. I've seen soo many times where they say the baby is gonna be 7lbs and it comes out 8 1/2. So the dependabilty of the weight being accurate is kinda iffy.

At my 28 week ultrasound, she was head down. I've been having extreeme pressure in my pelvic/pubic area so hopefully that's her head that has dropped. I'm 37 weeks today and feeling every minute of it!!

Good luck with your pregnancy!!! We're almost done!
Do you have any specific birth plans?
