Q: Could This Be Hypoglycemia?

My husband has been getting severely irritable in the afternoons for the past 3 weeks. And there doesn't seem to be a mental, or environmental trigger for these episodes. I am grasping at straws trying to figure out what could be causing these episodes and I began to wonder if it could be his blood sugar b/c sometimes he wakes up in the middle of the night craving sugar and if we don't have anything sweet he eats granulated sugar. Does any of this sound familiar? Or am I on the wrong track?

Hi,

does your husband feel better after he's eaten dinner? If he really craves sugar there's a good indication that he may be hypoglycemic.
Since my blood sugar is more stable, it's amazing how much better sleep at night too.

It's really worth looking into since it can improve a person's quality of life so much.

Yes, he needs to let us know what his current diet is and what happens when he eats and what his symptoms are. He will need to be tested too.
