Q: Is It Always True?

I would like to know if anyone has had an ultra sound and the technician told you you were having a girl or boy and it wound up being the opposite of what they tell you? Mad i'm wondering if I should be prepared for something like that or should I trust what the tech says.
I'm also hearing all these stories and opinions on what other people think im having because of how im carrying or what I eat a lot of. They say if you carry high it's a girl and low its a boy. If you eat meat and cheese its a boy. If your urine is bright neon it's a boy and a girl if it's dull. If you look good during pregnancy its a boy cause girls steal mama's looks. Has anyone seen any truth in this stuff or is it just bull?

I never found out what I was having, because the ultrasound tech never told my doctor. But I do know someone else who was told they were having a girl but ended up having a boy so sometimes they do make mistakes all the other details are just old wives tales, some people believe them some people don't but don't think you know 100% because of one of them because its not always right. Ultrasounds are more trustable than how you are carrying or what you eat but not always 100%. Hope I helped a little bit.. Bye

I know sometimes a finger just happens to look like a penis or maybe they don't see the penis. I hate how it's not 100% right. If I happen to be pregnant I want to buy baby things according to the sex but you might have to return everything if it's wrong and what a pain!

Right
You're right. I feel that the tech should not say anything if they are not 100% sure. I know they sometimes see things that are not really there but in that case its understandable. Now when they say "im 110% sure it will be a girl" and when my daughter comes out with a penis it would make me want to smack that tech you know what I saying?

Normally if they don't see a penis, they will say things like "i'm about 85% sure that it's a girl" they will usually never say i'm 100% sure... And so on. I've had two ultrasounds and both techs were right. A lot of times you have a gut feeling on the sex of your baby, and at least for me, i've been right too. It is better to wait until at least 22 weeks before having an ultrasound. The longer you are able to wait, the more accurate they will be, as you will have given your baby's genitalia more time to develop and grow.
