Good for you, dalicia. I'm glad that you were able to recognize it, instead of going on for years feeling like caca and not knowing why.
I really hope everything works out for you and bray.

Post partum is normal, a lot of women get it. Don't feel bad at all, my friend had it and then felt bad because she had this baby who was healthy and here she is feeling bad but all she ended up doing is making it worse. Hers was bad though she was freaking out because her son was going to marry and leave her and he was only 1 day old. Lol. Don't tell tom cruise he will reprimand you lol. She just got on some medicine and is doing better. Sometimes you can't get out of a rut by yourself I think it is good that you are getting help right away, the sooner you get help the soon you will feel better. I have had depression and I haven't had my baby yet but I assume I might get post partum because of underlying depression. Keep posting about your progress so others and myself can feel not alone if we get it and also so everyone knows how common it really is. Good luck I am sure you will feel like yourself again in no time. :)

D! You're a one smart, tough cookie and I know that no matter what you're faced with you will cope and you will come out on top.

While things may seem tough now, sit down and think for 5 minutes what you really want for you. Whatever you aim for *is* within your grasp.

Congrats on working with the depression - it's so damn hard to notice it's there when you are in the middle of it, maybe a short course of meds to put those neurons back in the right order will be all you need.

Good luck girl

I'm worried about the doc putting me on crazy pills, I don't wanna be a doped up mommy with drool coming out of her mouth.

Hopefully its just temporary feelings that will go away. I hardly sleep just so I can be up late having time to myself in peace for a bit, or I feel im going to lose it because I need to have a break. I think its the tiredness thats making me depressed.
I wouldnt go to the docs about it unless it was really really bad.

Lol crazy meds

i briefly took prozac for my depression - really just needed the boost to push me in the right direction, but it honestly didn't turn me into a drooling wreck.

Hang in there, hun. And the fact that you're doing something about it just proves that you're way stronger than it any day. (of course, anybody here could have told you that. Lol)
