I have recently had a umbilical hernia repaired 3 months ago. Since then I have gotten back into my routine of going ot the gym and bodybuidling. A few days ago I worked out for about 45 mins then approx. 30 mins after my workout I was sitting down and as I took a normal breath in, I felt a familiar tear feeling. There are no visible protrussions and i'm not sure if it was gas or what. But it wasn't your typical gut noise. There is muscle pain there now with no visible protrussion. If you are looking directly at me the site of pain is approximately 1 - 2 inches to the left of my belly button. Is it possible to have a hernia in that location? How long does it take before a hernia is visible? I've seen on the internet ct tests to properply diagnose hernia's but every doctor I go to says that it's not possible to do so. Is this true?

Thank you,
