They strip the membranes from the walls of the uterus (you have to be dilated) but they stick their finger slightly above the cervix and sweep any membranes that are their, it releases the hormones and hopefully if ur bosy is ready starts labor!!

Hey guys see youve benn talking bout me ^ lol ne ways yes I went to the doc today (39 weeks and 1 day) and the lady I saw a was a freaking nurse practioner! I asked for a doctor and got this lady, she was nice but wouldnt strip my membranes. Luckily she saw my desperation and went and found someone to do it!. I was stil 1-2 and "thick" as this lady put it but she did it. Nothing yet although I dont expect ne thing right away. Ive had some cramps and back pain so hopefully it worked. I wanted to schedule a c for next week just in case but she wouldnt. Says since I chose a vbaci have to wait for nature or 42 weeks and then shed do an induction even tho the last doc I saw said til 41 and no induction so I dunno I have to go back wendnesday if this didnt work and I plan on telling the doctor I see no c-section they have to at least try a vbac!

Vbac is definitely better, I have had both and obviously labour hurts alot but afterwards its really not that bad, with my c-section the birth was great but afterwards I was in loads of pain for about 2weeks!!

Depends on the incision u had if its a low transverse like mine than your chances of uterus rupture and like 1% but if you had an emergency c-section sometimes they cut you vertically and that type almost always ruptures

I hope you deliver soon one way or another!!
I remember the pain of c-section, ouch. I've been told that each day it should gradually get better. I try not to get up and down too much because that's when it hurts. It sucks because i've got a brand new baby girl to show off and I can't drive. That's ok, because the weather turned from beautiful to nasty cold and snowy again. That's wisconsin for you tho.
So, what is this v-bac procedure? The vacuum method right? I've only heard of it once, but don't know anything about it. How does that work?

Oh, duh...The initials were right there lol.
I've heard of a vacuum method too, but that's just an assist, not a "method" I think. Correct me if i'm wrong.

that makes sense then cause her first c section was an emergency. Her baby had his arm wrapped above and around his head.
