Hi crystal,
i'm 25 yrs old, female. Last month I had
laproscopic surgery on my left ovary. My
Dr. Was looking around inside of me &
found a huge cyst about 10cm. Big. That
was covering my uterus. Nobody knew I had
the huge cyst, always thought my uterus
was very big. My Dr. Told me I had to
have surgery, he just had to open me up to
remove the cyst.
On wednesday august 30, 2006, I had open
surgery. My ob/gyn removed half of my
left ovary. My ovary was very swollen
& really big about 7.5 x 3.8 x 4.8 cm,
I thought the whole ovary was going to be
taken away, only half was taken. Also my
left fallopian tube was removed.
I also have endometriosis, besides all of
that other stuff. Every month with my
periods they are irregular, heavy, lots of
cramps. For me surgery was the only thing
that could take care of the problem,
before it got any worse.
Have you tried birth control pills to try
& shrink you cyst?
I think that your Dr. Will probably want
to do surgery, possibly to try & take
care of your cysts. I had laproscopic
surgery done last month, that's a tiny
inscision under the belly button, when the
cyst is found your Dr. Will make a couple
of other tiny cuts, & try to either
drain or remove the cyst.
You will be out with medication through an
iv, the whole time. So you won't feel a
thing. The recovery time is about 2 wks.
I'm just letting you know in case your Dr.
Wants to do surgery. This way you won't
be scared about it.
