Guaranteed Seizure (newbie)
Posted: 01-02-04 06:31am

This is my first post so please bear with me. I am writing from the uk and I fairly new to the world of epilepsy, have been with the love of my life for a year now, and we have been living together for the last 6 months.

She is 24 and taking lamictal and has had only 2 day time seizures (grand marl)in 2003. Which is good.

Early hour seziures 2-3 am we can be linked to overtiredness,
waking on in the morning 5-7 am we can link to exsesive alcohol that previous evening.

So basically if she doesnt drink to excess or doesnt get extremely over tired we should be ok.

Or are these completely unrelated.

Is the medication an issue,(see had been on epilim a few years ago, but her legs stopped working and was hospitalize for 3 months) should we look to change the lamictal, or should we count ourselves lucky that the limited seizures above is all she has to put up with.
Question
many thanks
