while playing rugby i suffered a hard knock on the left side of my face i now have problems chewing and is uncomfortable to move there is no numbness but there is some swelling could it be broken and if so how long genreally is recovery

You can take an X-ray image of the face to see if there is some fracture of the mandible. If there is a fracture, the recovery can take at least month to heal.
