Hi all im only 20 and a year ago I was diagnosed with stage 2 cervical cancer.I had the op and it was removed but never went for any checkups being uncomfortable with my current gyno, and was told there were no thers available in my town(only small)so I am seeing a new one in a months time in a bigger city to start my colopscopy's (5 in a year) but the symptoms I have sound like ovarian cancer...I have them all.I cant have sex anymore it hurts too much...Like theres something being constantly hit
does anyone know if the two cancers are related or increase the others chances? I watched a show called 60minutes and it had a segment on ovarian cancer.......Now im worried because ive had these symptos for long time and always thought it was just womens body issues and that im young and that cant happen to me,does anyone know how common it is for women my age?I always thought also that my signs were those connected with the cervical cancer but have thought about it and they never went away after surgery....!Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated to help put my nerves to bed!!!!Sorry the post was so long....

Hey fellow oz girl.

I have had an ovary removed because of a massive cyst that was growing, and I was only 18. I am 21 now. I dont know whether ovarian problems such as this and cancer are common for young women like us, but I do know that you should definitely not stop seeing your gyno...

Why are you uncomfortable with yours? If that is the case, make the effort to travel to another town/city, because you can't mess with your reproductive organs or your life.

The pain is also another good reason to make the effort, I for one would hate not being able to have sex etc but I know that before I have my op, it was painful for me to have sex too.

Please look after yourself!!

Not neccessarily the same one but keep going. Cervical cancer is not something you want to mess around with at all!!! Take care of yourself
