asked by: DoctorQuestion on March 11th, 2006
I am a 30 year old white male who has no signs or symptoms of any kind.

had urine chlamydia and gonoria test 3.5 days after pos exposure
negative result. was the test conducted To early?

had no symptoms but read 1st test may have been too early. so had
another test swab at 4 weeks also negative.

what is the likley hood of two false neagtive tests?

Is it possible that i had chlamydia and my body got rid of it before
the second test(4 weeks)?

which type test is more reliable?
thank you

It is possible that the first test was taken too early and could be a false-negative. The second test is more reliable than the first one. It is possible that you‘ve had contact with Chlamydia or Gonorrhea but your immune system was strong enough to defend the body against infection.
