Q: I Had My First Appointment....

I had my first doctor's appointment today and my doctor is a woman! I was so happy because it made me feel more comfortable. Thank you so much everybody for telling me want was going to happen...It really helped. First she tried to find my baby's heartbeat but couldn't so she did an ultrasound and I got to see it....It was so amazing I couldn't believe it was really my baby....My mom was with me and she cried and that made me cry too. My doctor was like, we'll try one more time and I got to hear my baby's heartbeat too. She figured I am about 8 and a half weeks pregnant and my baby is due on october 17....That seems so far away. She also gave me prenatal vitamins to take.

I'm so happy it all went smoothly. Its just so wonderful seeing you baby for the first time..Even if it just looks like a lil blob lol have you made another apt yet? My dd is oct 12 so we can be buddies lol

Well im glad your appointment went well. I guess im next in line. I took a pregnancy test today and yes im preg. Wish me luck. I think I will ring the docs in a couple of days and make an appointment.

Congratulations katie!!! You're lucky to have a mom that will be with you through it all.

Hey I was wondering...How do they count how far along u are? I read that they add to weeks from when u concieved or something like that....= s this is all so confusing! I have so much to learn...If I really am preggy..Which i'm not sure yet but I hope so!!!
