I'm Having a Problem....
Posted: 03-10-06 10:22am

I know that many preggy women get this all the time, but it's a real ego buster when it happens. I'm 33 weeks today so i'm looking at another 7 weeks of being preggy. Which is still an ample amount of time to grow. When I go places people are like, "wow you're about to go any day now huh?" and it sucks to have to tell them that I have 2 months left!! They all say "oh wow, I don't think you'll make it".... So now my fiance is thinking the same thing, like "you're not gonna make it to 40 weeks" at first it was funny, but now, everybody is starting to comment. I'm not that big just to clear that up. It's just that I used to be sooo small that this big bulge is catching everyone's eye.

The thing is, when other people tell you things about your size and "if you're gonna make it" and it's fine cuz you can just smile and walk away. But now, my fiance is starting to doubt my making it and I can't just walk away..I live with the man!! Lol....He thinks that I could have it now and everything would be honkey dorey. I keep telling him that the baby would be tiny and have to go to the .N.I.C.U. He thinks that the Dr. Gave me the wrong due date. But I can't stress enough, i'm not that big..I'm almost destined for a large baby, but it really aint that bad yall!!

Maybe it's me though...Do yall think it could be denial on my part? This afternoon i'm going get a new chip for my camera and put it on a post just to show yall that it really aint that bad!!! But what can I do about all the comments and my self esteem????

If you don't think you are very big you probably aren't. As for your fiance just tell him to shut up and leave you alone. That's what I do with my husband... No really, just tell him that it hurts your feelings, men don't seem to understand that concept.
The other day my aunt wanted to guess my weight so I said sure and it was under what I weigh..Thank god. And I told my husband what she guessed and he said " she knows damn well you weigh more than that" I was p*ssed off, but at the same time it was funny because I couldn't believe he said that. I told him that someone needed to write a book called....Things not to say to your pregnant wife... I don't think he meant it to hurt my feelings, he's just an fool.
No matter what, people are always going to have something to say about every aspect of your pregnancy. It's just something we have to deal with. It does get annoying, but it will all be okay.

Lol...Now I have gained 56 lbs...But it's in my legs and belly. So now i'm 184 and growing!! People just think that the Dr. Got my due date wrong. I can't lie, my belly is pretty large, but what preggy woman's isn't?!?! Lol...

As far as my .Fiance', I think he just wants to see what's my jerking around in my belly!! I don't think he has the patience to wait another 7 weeks...Lol...I think he just really wants to meet his little girl!! I can't blame him, he just needs to realize that these 7 weeks are very important to the baby and her lungs.

I do look like i'm going to pop, i've now begun to lose the battle with the stretchmarks..... :....O(

i deal with the skin, that's my career and it's crazy that me, of all people got them. They say the hereditary, but that's hard to believe. I've just grown a lot!!

Thank you soo much for your response...I'm glad that it's not just me!!! Lol...How far along are you?

Hey, I know how you feel. I am small but compared to the rest of me the belly is huge. I told people how far along I am and they're all like, "whoa, I thought you were in your ninth month!" i've still got 12 weeks to go (or according to baby's gestational age 10 weeks). My husband said the same thing. He said "you sure the baby's due in may, you look like you could go any day now". I tell him to stop being an @$$ and then I ignore him.

If your a water buffalo, then that would make me a mammoth! My dad tells me each time I get up to pee at night I should walk around the house first for a little extra excersize (and he wishes i'd go into labor already) but I told him if only he knew how much "excersize" it was to get out of bed each time he'd think twice about how great richard simmons is at excersize.

Lmao... Yeah my bonehead husband doesn't understand that either. He's always like "you need more excercise". If he only knew how much energy it takes just to do simple things then he'd shut the heck up!

I was huge too. From 4 months on people kept asking if I was having twins. I did have a kind of biggish baby 8lbs,6oz but when people are preggo everyone hears either they are huge or "gee you look a lil small" it's not really an indication of baby size and people never say "oh you look just perfect!" lol just smile and nod next time.

Thanks yall....Anything I do is a task..

If i'm walking with my man, than i'm not talking. If i'm talking to him, I can't walk!! Lol..He's got to choose one or the other.

On the bathroom issue, .Jesus, I thought that it was bad a couple of weeks ago, now I really don't even want to do it! Why does the baby always have to lay right on your bladder to where you don't think you'll make it?!?! Hahaha...Every time I potty, I sigh!! Like..Yes, I made it!!

I have 7 long weeks to go and I hope my belly doesn't literally explode before I get there!! Lol...I have a .Dr. Appt on .Monday...Hopefully it'll be an "in and out" visit to just discuss my blood work, etc.
