Q: Is TMJ Related to the Throat Discomfort?

i have been diagnosed with tmj . would this cause me to have persistent throat problem down left side.

The throat is a completely different anatomic structure than the bones, muscles, and ligaments that are associated with TMJ. When visiting a doctor, you will need to be precise what kind of throat problem you have. Initially, it does not seem that a “throat problem” is caused by TMJ-syndrome.
