tell at six months but oh well
charlie is doing fine but I don't no about
mia, I had a problem with her about a few
weeks ago where I had really bad back
pains, loads of discahrge came out it was
really yellow like, I went straight to the
doctor and he said that they are both ok

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope and pray
that she'll be alright! I don't
understand why she'd be too small now,
hasn't she doing fine all along? Maybe
your doctors aren't explaining something.
I get confused when my doctor tells me
things sometimes. If your doctor thinks
she's too small, could it be possible to
go to another doctor for a second opinion?
Well I wish you luck and I hope they both
do fine!

Roxie are you talking about twin-to-twin
transfusion syndrome?

I agree roxie, mia doesn't look super tiny
or anything. She does seem a *tad*
smaller than charlie, but sometimes boys
are bigger than girls. (and vice versa,
just because they are twins doesn't mean
they will weigh the same) I get confused
with the big long words myself. Tho I
shouldn't because I took a medical
transcriptionist course a couple years
ago.
What michelle says, twin to twin
transfusion syndrome. I've also heard of
it before, but don't recall exactly what
it is. Maybe you could call your doctor
to find out what he called it, then
research it? Maybe it would ease your
mind knowing what's going on. Instead of
wondering the unknown. If you need
anything feel free to pm me. Good luck!

Roxie, i'm sure mia will be a beautiful
healthy baby... You need to calm down (i
know it's hard to do, but honestly it does
help if you try and look at it from almost
an "outsiders" point of view - i've been
doing this with dil and it's helped
immensley.) try and research it, I didnt
know they could tell so early as all
babies gain weight at different stages of
pregnancy and the guidelines are just
rough. Plus she doesn't look too small
compared to charlie... Maybe get a second
opinion. At least that way you will be
able to really take on board what the
doctor is saying - it's difficult when
you're hearing what could possibly be
difficult for the first time.
Good luck hun, i'm on msn if you need to
chat. It'll be cool - mia will be
beautiful. Xx xx

I read that boys develope slower than
girls....
If it is twin to twin transfer syndrome,
than you need to get those babies out.
The medicne that's available today will
help your babies survive. Thank god the
medicne has gotten soo advanced...People
are able to have babies at 26 weeks and
they survive...Even sooner than that...
Good luck hun..I really hope that things
even out. Mia does look a little bit
smaller, but twin are never the exact same
weight.
We're praying for you and your tots!!!

Tts?

My mom works in the neoneatal and
high-risk maternity ward at our local
hospital, and she said there's no way for
roxie's twins to have tts. It only occurs
when the twins are identical and share a
placenta. Since charlie and mia aren't
identical (and there's no denying it,
since they're different genders) tts can't
happen.
In layman's terms, twin-to-twin
transfusion syndrome occurs when an extra
vein in the placenta diverts blood and
nutrients from one identical twin and
overloads the other. This also causes an
excess of amniotic fluid for the deprived
twin and not enough for the overloaded
one.
