First of all, thanks to anyone who has taken the time to comment...

Exposure: very drunk 'protected' vaginal sex. Followed by masturbation, likely vaginal fluid trapped under foreskin overnight.

Symptoms: 10 days after incident - fever, diarrhea, swollen lymphs, malaise lasting a week. 7 weeks later - fever, diarrhea, swollen lymphs, 12-lb weight loss, lasting a week. Diarrhea persisted for 7 months. Can't be sure if lymphs were swollen. At 5 months, foot pain and developed ear tinnitus. Weird spots and bumps on my body. Also feel my immune system deteriorated as I have all sort of sinus problems. Now 9 months, have swollen lymphs, whole neck swollen and really bad sore throat.

Tests: 1, 7 weeks (blood drawn elisa), 12, 13, 16, 20, 24, 26, 30, 38 weeks (rapid test). All negative.

Other blood tests: cbc at 7 weeks - low lymphocyte count and high neutrophils, high bilirubin in liver; cbc at 13 weeks - high lymphocyte count and high bilirubin in liver. Negative for hep a, b, c, syphillis, hsvs, ngu etc.. Was diagnosed with hpv, which has been removed. Also tested negative for all sorts of gastrointestinal bacteria etc.

Notes: I have no $$ to do a pcr test, otherwise I probably would have. I suspect that I still have the virus even though the antibody tests show otherwise.

Questions: could anyone tell me if there should be any reason for me to suspect hiv in my situation? The chronology of my symptoms are simply too accurate for it not to be hiv... My fear was further elevated upon learning that the foreskin is a haven for hiv transmission. In my drunken stupor that regretful night, vaginal fluid was likely used as lubrication during masturbation. I've heard that the foreskin is a mucous membrane and makes me extremely vulnerable to infection.

Please comment, however short/long/brief/detailed. It won't fall on deaf ears. God bless you all.

If sex was properly protected, there is no risk.

Vaginal secretions on the foreskin 'overnight' is irrelevant. Hiv would be dead within a minute.

If you have a test 38 weeks after the exposure, it is definitive. You are without shred of a doubt, hiv negative.

Why take so many tests when one after three months is all that's needed? Why test at all if you're not going to trust the result.

Negative.

You are overwhelmingly worried and that causes all that you go through. If your tests show negative results you are negative. If you think you wana go for a pcr dna test, it means you have more money and donno how to spend it.

Just donate it to a good cause and leave your worries behind and march forward.
