What do you perceive in your field of vision when you close your eyes to sleep?

Q: Visual Perception When Trying to Fall Asleep

When your mind is clear of all thought, what do you your eyes perceive when you close your eyes at night? Remember that your mind must be clear of all thought and excludes external visual stimuli (tv, lamp or nite lite on, etc.) and headache-related visual anomalies (aurora, etc.).

Hmm Heres a Better Question
Well maybe not better, but what would you rather see? For me it would be total darkness

For me, that was totally dark but sometimes, there are flash or some white hole moving when I closed my eye. Sometimes, there will be kinds of colors water moving.. So strange.

I see sparks and bright colors... It's hard for me to fall asleep, but then again I have post concussion syndrome, so it's probably from the migraines that come with that. I hope it doesn't become a long term thing.

I would love to see total darkness! The only thing is, I see quite the opposite (check out "i see skittles" in this forum). Using this poll, i'm just trying to get an idea of how many other people out there have the same problem I do. Doctors say that it is definitely not normal.
