Q: Do I Have Dry Socket?

I had my wisdom teeth removed a week ago today. They are feeling very good and I have almost no pain. The only problem is that I have this horrible taste in my mouth. It appears to be originating my my lower right wisdom tooth area. I don't believe it is an infection as I am already taking penicillin for 4 days for an infection. Could it be dry socket? I heard dry socket was very painful though. What should I do?

Hi
Yes if you have dry socket you will defanantly know that, you will be having excrusiating pain and having to go to the er for it, or your on call dentist, trust me, you would kicking and screaming and pacing the floor and no kind of pain killers would even help. If you want to know what dry socket is , thats what it is.
