:(

i am a hetero-male who recently experimented with oral sex (3 events)with a ts and 2 men ranging from about 12 months ago until about 5 months ago. In only 2 of the events did I give oral and never with ejac. In my mouth. About six weeks ago I have developed swollen lymph nodes that started in my armpit, then a week later in my groin and a week after that my neck and this week behind one of my knees. The ones in my armpits are sore in the evenings but not in the mornings. The one behind my knee is very sore...Almost like a hamstring pull. Hurts to walk. Has anyone ever seen this timng for ars? I thought it was 2-4 weeks after exposure. Is swollen lymph nodes common months after exposure. Is it common for hiv nodes to be so sore? I think I have molluscum too. In oct. It was a zit like thing in my crotch that went away in 5 days but remains purple like scar still today.

Any insight as to my risk and lymph nodes is appreciated. Thanks

Risks
Receptive oral sex (where you are the giver), is a low risk activity for hiv, made even lower by the fact that no ejaculation took place. It is highly unlikely that you would become infected in the scenario you describe.

Swollen nodes do occur during ars, which normally happens 2- 6 weeks after initial infection. It is usually coupled with a flu-like illness and most commonly, fever. It is very very rare for ars symptoms to emerge many months after the episode. However, this isn't important.

Have a test - because receptive oral sex is a certain risk (though a small one). I'm quite confident of a negative result.

By the way, when you describe your situation, it is totally irrelevant in assessing risk whether they are ts, bi, a cowboy, a pig farmer or a nun. People are not high risk, certain behaviours are. What I mean is, you cannot ascertain someone's hiv status, and as long as you practise safe sex with whoever, then you are not at risk. I cannot, and will not suggest to you that you are more or less at risk if the other person was a stripper/sex worker/monk, because how could I possibly know of their status and why does it matter so long as you were safe with them?

Thanks Finess
Do you know if it is common for generalized swollen nodes throughout the disease? For example if it is not an ars event but later. My only exposures were within the last year.

What about molluscum ...Does it leave purple scars? Thanks
