Thyroid Medication And Alcohol
My thyroid was removed as a result of a malignant neoplasm ( cancer). I take levoxyl as a replacement, which is the same as synthroid and I am assuming it is similar to all thyroid pills. Alcohol consumption is allowed but is not recommended (especially in excess). If I were you I would try to stay away from it on a regular basis, but as far as the occasional drink or party, it should be fine as the alcohol is metabolized by the liver, not the thyroid.
