Thank you guys!!
Getting the epidural wasn't bad at all, I wanted to kiss the anestesiologist! The only part that hurt was the numbing medicine they give you before hand, which feels like a bee sting and having an epidural is nothing compared to having a contraction. The hardest part was sitting still.
I got an epidural when I was dilated to a 4, I started dilating every hour until I reached a 6, then 20 minutes later I started feeling some major pressure so the nurse checked me and I was a 9 and a half. You can't even feel getting checked with an epidural by the way!! If you're like me getting checked for dilation usually hurts me pretty bad.
I'm pretty pleased I didn't have to be induced & went on my own. She didn't give me an epistomy but she cut where my hymen used to be. I have to admit this is the worst part out of all of it, I can't wipe with toilet paper, I have to use a warm wash cloth, i'm so swollen it takes about 5 minutes to sit down, I bleed over everything & I have hemroids. I didn't prepare myself for any of these type of after affects, so ladies when people say prepare yourself for everything, seriously do it!
I'm going to take some more photos of brayden & post them in that link, so keep checking back.
