Q: Chronic Nausea

Hello folks:

i am a 33 year-old male.

For the last year and a half, I have been experiencing intermittent nausea. I have been through various blood and gastro (egd) tests with doctors, yet the diagnosis is nil. Over this time I have seen ent, internal medicine, neurologist, physician, etc.

I have been going through stressful times since then worrying obssessively over this symptom. I never have nausea when I wake up, but as the day progresses i'll get it a couple of times. Some days, I don't even get it at all while other days are bad and it lasts for a couple of hours. It's intermittency bothers me so much that when I don't have it, I am waiting for it.

Is this stress, depression or anxiety? Is nausea a symptom of any of these illnesses?Anyone have similar symptoms or have an idea as to what's happening with me?

Answers/advice will be deeply appreciated. Thnx.

When I suffered with my depersonalization/depression thingy, I would have headaches, shortness of breath and heart palpitations during the day, but usually not in the morning. After I would wake up I knew that I had a couple of hours to enjoy life, before the symptoms would return and stayed till the rest of the day.

Sounds like you're obsessed with your symptom and constantly think of it. This is the worst thing you can do. Try to learn to ignore it and forget about it. Since you don't have any real medical condition, maybe it will go away eventually.
