Q: Is It a Cyst?

I've had a cyst before on the side of my face so im familiar with them.

Ok, here is my problem. I have (had) this bump right at the top of my buttocks crack. I noticed it about 3 weeks ago and I just thought it was a zit. It wasn't red and it didn't hurt but it was getting on my nerves because it was uncomfortable when I would sit down. So, I started to inspect it in the mirror. While I was inspecting it, I accidently popped it and some clear/browish fluid came out. I wasn't even trying to pop it. I was just "spreading my cheeks" to get a better look at it. Then, I squeezed it a little harder and a lot more matter came out. It was browish and kind of looked like pimple matter but a lot bigger than your usual pimple gunk.. Also, it bleeded like crazy. It would not stop bleeding for 10 minutes. Now there is a small hole that looks like it could use a stich or two.

I've lanced a cyst before and it was nothing like this. The gunk was completely different and the cyst on my face would not pop with just using pressure. It had to be lanced. The reason why I lanced it myself was because I don't have any health insurance and I already had some antibiotics from a previous doctor visit.

I'm keeping it clean and it looks fine now. I was thinking about getting stitches for it but I don't have health insurance and i'm only 19 years old living on my own.

Any input to what this could be would make my day.Smile

Extremely eHealthy
I guess you're usa because here in australia there are drs you can see without health insurance, but what about an emergency room?? Or a family member who could check it more thoroughly? Some antiseptic could help too.

Good luck.
