I luv revving music...Heavy, angry, loud but not screamo....Rammstein...Endorphin prevokin music....Political stuff like rage against the machine and system of a down...Make me feel better...Sometimes depressing stuff if I need to cry lol...Get it all out... It can stop me harming thats why I love music

To me, it depends as their are all types of depression, if it is because you just lost your spouse or love one, you need to grieve but if you got an "f" on a term paper or are having a bad day you do not want to sit their and listeb to sad music as it just gets you more depressed causing you to blame other instead of kicking youself in the butt and saying you can do better. Each person and situation needs to be handled in a different situation.
Good luck!

Give nirvana's last album, "in utero," a try. It's hardcore-infused pop; so, in other words, it's listenable, but barely, and it's so raw and full of aggresion that the album feels like it's going to just explode at times.

Usually when I am down I listen to things that remind me of my boyfriend. It probably sounds crazy but it makes me realize I would be nowhere without him. :d

Whenever I am feeling particularly down, I like to listen to jewel.

I've been down so long
lord, can't be longer still
i've been down so long
that the end
must be drawing near

for me, "the end" means
the end of the bad times.
