2 of my 3 children began walking at 9 1/2 months--also one of my grandbaby's. My other son and my other grandbaby were both 12 months.

And remember all baby's are different---so this may not mean anything ---

I used to be a nanny to twins and I remember one of them started pulling herself up on furniture and walking while holding on around 8 months and she was walking completely on her own at 9 months. I don't remember when the other started walking, I think it was around a year, but she had some developmental problems and was behind her sister in everything (and still is 5 years later). I wish they were babies again! Twins are so cute and I adored being their nanny.

My son was pulling himself up at 8 months, walking with his push toy at 9months and walking on his own at 10. Clapping and jumping are big things for kids. Shows coordination!!! Lol

My little grand daughter-- I taught her to clap and say yay--it was so cute--she did it for days. I think she was around 8 months when she did that. She will copy anything we do---we really have to watch our mouth. She has been saying oh shyt for a very long time--and me and her mom would say something else so she would pick that up instead--but it never worked. You know how we as parents (grand parents) copy what they say to re-enforce it?? So we would try and say something other than...So she would. Never worked.

My son didn't start walking until after his first birthday, now that he is two and running and I can't catch him sometimes, I wish he would of never started, lol. My mom said I was walking at ten months. So everybody is difference, but they say girls mature and learn faster than boys do.

My 1st child didnt walk till he was 14mths and my 2nd child walked at 12mths! Believe me the later they walk the better! You spent the whole time trying to teach babies to walk then when they do you really wish they couldnt!!

My son learned to walk the day befor his first birthday and has learned everything else very quickly. He learned to ride without training wheels in just 5 minutes and now I cant get the boy to just sit down for a single minute. :p ( he is now 5)

My little girl started walking at 10 months. She was pulling up before she learned to crawl though. She just scooted around. Lol
