Strange Discharge When I Have a Bowel Movement? Posted: 03-03-06 00:27am
Hi this is my first time on these forums.
Lately i've been noticing a small amount
of white, stringy discharge when I
defecate. I'm not sure if it's a really
thick liquid, or if it's actually tissue
because of the way it acts when it's in
the water.
Also, i've noticed a small amount of blood
in my discharge, which is evidenced by the
toilet paper I use to wipe, but i've never
seen it in the discharge itself.
Sometimes I experience a varying amount of
pain, as well. Sometimes it hurts a lot,
and sometimes just a little bit.
What could be causing this?
To give you a better awareness of what
might be going on, you should probably
know that I am an 18 (almost 19) year old
white male. I live in minnesota. I
weigh approximately 135 lbs. I have
always been skinny.
If there's another area on this forum I
should be posting this on, let me know.
Blood in the stool should be taken very
seriously and requires identification of
the reason as soon as possible. Several
diagnosis are possible including some very
serious ones.
Is bleeding always associated with
defecation or not?
Is the blood fresh, coagulated or dark?
Is the bleeding visible only on the toilet
paper, drips in the water or is on the
stool surface?
What is the color and consistency of the
stools? Are they liquid or solid?
Where is the pain located?
How long this bleeding last and have you
ever had similar symptoms?
