Colitis
Hi. I have been diagnosed with coiltis also. Don't know if mine is considered "ulcerative" or not, but it is not fun! I, too, am searching for diet plans or tips. My question for you is did you have a colonoscopy and was it painful? Are you taking any medications for your condition?

Colitis
I am currently taking vancomycin which treats colitis that comes from clostridium difficile bacteria in the gut. Usually acts up after antibiotic use, and in my case, it acted up after clindamycin use and then amoxicillan. Only thing is, my stool tested negative for c diff. So now we are puzzled and don't know where my colitis came from. I seem to be getting better, down to 2-4 bms a day instead of 20 and the achey pains are subsiding a bit.

I just wonder if it was something I was eating or taking like ibuprofen. Mine began right after chocolate lovers festival and then after taking large doses of ibuprofen and pain meds for a root canal in conjuction with all those antibiotics.

I am so scared of it coming back and having to have another colonoscopy. That was pure torture. I was not knocked out, but next time, I will insist.
