Q: Epidural Problems?

I had an epidural with my first child born in 1994. Something went wrong with it. Shortly after they inserted it the whole left side of my face and my eye started drooping and my vision was blurry in that eye. When I told the nurses, they got the anesthesiologist to come in. She asked me if I was having trouble breathing and I said no but told her of the other problems. Also I was not numb at all where I was suppose to be. She didn't do anything and left it there the whole time, said just to let her know if I had any trouble breathing. I felt everything including the episiotomy (they did give me a local anesthetic) which I also felt.
My problem is this: ( I have just recently made a connection to the epidural) within one year of having my child I was having back pain in the area that the epidural was inserted at. I have been to at least two different chiropractors over the years which seem to help for awhile but it eventually gets back just like it was. From time to time I have had bad hip pain and something that feels like sciatic nerve problems. Where my leg/hip hurts where I can't lift it up at all. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or might have an insight into what exactly happened. I'd also like to know what I can do to help correct the problem.
Thanks
