Is Puberty Causing my daughter's Stomach Pains and Diarrhea? Posted: 03-01-06 19:39pm
MY 9 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER HAS HAD BOUGHTS OF
STOMACH PAIN AND WAS TOLD OF IT COULD BE
PUBERTY SINCE ALL TESTS ARE NEGATIVE FOR
COLON DISORDERS AND APPENDIX. SHE HAS
BOUTS OF DIAHREAH ALSO AND SEVERE PAINS AT
TIMES
Your daughter is probably experiencing an
intestinal infection. Intermittent
abdominal pain and diarrhea are typical
for intestinal infections. You can give
her spasmolitic medicine (trospium) if the
pain becomes severe. A dietary regime
(liquid food without sugar and fats) and
liquid supplementary (water and salts) are
most important for treating intestinal
infections.
