My wife had a hysterectomy on dec. 17.
They took everything execpt 1 ovary.
Before the surgery, she said her hormones
were unbalanced. Now it is about two
weeks after the surgery. She is doing
real well as far as recovery. We are
going thru a though time right now, I had
asked her a question about it. She said
to wait until her hormones were level
again.
So, my question is, how long does it take
for your body to get back to normal if the
hormones were out of wack??????
Thanks

I had my ovaries taken out because of the
imbalance.
I now wear a patch. I felt better in that
department right away. The surgery is a
lot tougher than it seems. Two weeks
isn't enough time to recover from the
surgery let alone let her hormones
reregulate--don't you think?
No Dr. Here. Just a woman's oppinion.

I agree with you gabsjohn.....I am
currently in the decision-making process
to either have a meyomectomy or
hysterectomy. Both are very scarey to
me. I am having complications due to
heaving and extended bleeding which has
caused anemia. Why did you have your
ovaries removed? If you don't mind my
asking. Please respond
